My mother, 76, was diagnosed in June with Stage IV gallbladder cancer with mets to the pancreas, lymph nodes and liver. She is now on single-agent Gemzar. This is such a rare cancer that I would love to hear from other people on this board who have dealt with it. What therapies do you know of. Any chemo combos that might work better than single-agent Gemzar? We live in the Virginia suburbs of Washington D.C. I have taken my mom to Hopkins (where she was told her cancer was not operable) and Georgetown (where the doctor told us to go back if her Gemzar doesn't work). But in the meantime, I really need to hear from others.
