I hope the New Year brings a cure for this awful disease. I know you and your husband must be scared and confused as to what chemo will bring. As you have read many have taken chemo without all the side affects. My mom and dad were very concerned due to all the "stories" they had heard about chemo and was sure my mom would be struck to her bed for the entire therapy and it alone would surely kill her. This has not been the case with her. Your husband needs to be strong going into the process. Yes, those few who catch the cancer early should truly be thankful because they are a only a handful. Is your husband scheduled for radiation as well?. My mom had radiation 5 days a week for 6 weeks and this was hard on her. PLease let us know if we can help and make sure your husband tells the onc of any side effects. Chemo has come along way in the last 20 years. God Bless you both.
