I would like to recommend you read Dr Weils book which address this subject. I have read it as did my mom and dad and found it very helpful. If chemo kills the healthy and cancer cells and the healthy cells rejuvenate then TOO much consumtion of herbs vitamins ect start to protect the cancer and the healthy cells. Reducing the effect of chemo. Apparently more and more medical proffesionals are starting to agree with this. We discussed this with my moms onc and he told her she is welcome to take whatever she wanted but to please advise him first. He wants her to stay strong so extra viamins and minerals are needed. She takes vitamins, minerals, we got her a juicer which she uses everyday and she has has recently started on a protein powder as she no longer eats meat. She has decided once she is through with chemo she will strongly consider a immune boosting regime, herbs such as milk thisle and following up with a nautropath. Dr Weils also has a web site with is very informative. Marylou
