We consulted at Stanford but decided to go with UCSF. Dr. Norton recently moved to Stanford from UCSF and is their PC surgeon. Although my Dad was not eligible for surgery, we consulted with him and found him a wonderful and optimistic, caring man. We found Dr. Fisher to be unwilling to spend more than 10 minutes with us, after 3 hour waits (attempted to meet with him 3 times with the same result), and the treatments offered were not 'options' for us to consider. It was his way or the highway.

We HIGHLY recommend UCSF for treatment. I'm not sure who the UCSF surgeon would be, but Dr. Margaret Tempero is brilliant as a researcher and oncologist - and very compassionate. UCSF also does a phenomenal job at assisting families in keeping all balls in the air and coordinated. We worked with Elizabeth Dito, RN, and we cannot say enough good things about her.
