I agree with other responses. My oncologist recently told me that I would not see the word 'remission' associated with pancreatic cancer - in response to my asking about it. I asked him at what point do we breath a sigh of relief and think maybe we have the upper hand? His response was to ask him that question a year from now. Cancer markers may mean something and may not. A scan may or may not show shrinkage yet but it can definitely show that there is no new areas of concern at present. I completed treatment almost five months ago and have had two subsequent ct-scans to show 'no changes'. My cancer markers went from almost 2,000 to normal over a period of those months. However, the most recent test showed them rising again, so we are now on the 'hunt' for what may be happening. Ct-Scan showed nothing new so now we are preparing for a PET Scan once insurance is approved. Hope this info helps.
