There is NO reason to think that the tumor has gotten smaller in size - that can only be determined with a scan - the CA-19-9 will NOT give definitive results as to the shrinking of a tumor in pc - absolutely can NOT get that from a blood test - no way! Additionally, is there a baseline CA-19 here??? How do you even know if his CA 19 hasn't just been at a normal level the whole time - it is that way with a number of patients - definitely 2nd opinion time!
