My Dad has just started to suffer some of the more 'serious' effect of the PC that was diagnosed last October. He is 82 and now has huge swelling in his abdomen (waist measurement went from 30-35'). He visited the oncologist yesterday and they drained about 5 lbs of fluids from his abdomen - we were all hoping this would make him more comfortable as the pressure was bothering him.
Well, he slept well last night but woke up feeling even more bloated than usual, as well as gassy and really uncomfortable. Is this common after having fluids removed? Is is just a passing thing?
Any help would be appreciated, and prayers out to all of you.
