From the doctor saying 'remission' we by no means think that the cancer is gone, it is our understanding that the doctor meant that the cancer is not spreading any further (or at least this is my parents understanding). My dad will be going back to the oncologist to determine if they will continue with chemo or what the next step will be. I am off course getting all of this info from my parents second hand and I am sure they aren't able to relay to me word for word what the doctor says as it is a very difficult time for them. I am thinking of calling the doctors office tomorrow and asking just what is going on. I am just wondering if anybody else that is familiar with PC has heard this term (remission) used with PC and what it means. I am just cautiously hopeful, I guess, that maybe my dad will be one of the lucky ones.
