My mother had whipple then radiation and chemo combined, she has lived a year since diagnosis, but it's been a year of pain and now we are near the end. I can say that from the outside looking in that I would choose quality over quantity, but I hope I never am in her shoes, just respect the choices your patient/loved one makes and be there for them, they have alot more real insight, just something I have grown to believe since being introduced to this illness. I hear it referred to as the 'beast', that seems so true when I look at what my Mom has gone through.
