Mike, your story sounds so much like mine was at first. At first the DR was talking about PC and I was thinking OK. What some anti-biotics, some chemo, some sugery? This will be OK? Then I got online and started studing PC and found out that DAD was going to die!!! I had to come to grips with it. Didn't want to hear it, didn't want to relate to it, but cold hard facts are PC is awful!! So, what can I do? I can make DADS lasts days happy or at least as happy as I can!!! Thinks are different for every PC patient, (some are alike) just telling you what I've read here. Dad was Jaundice @ first that was our first clue something was wrong. Only to fing out just like you, it was PC in its late stages also....no chemo, so surgerys, just a stent to help with pain. The stent was called a simple procedure and its only function was to buy 6-8 weeks more time so dad can go home and get his things in order, and prepare for his body to shut down. I sometimes sound cold, but trust me Mike I;m not at all. At first I cried everyday!!! Yes a grown man cry'in!! I know but hey its my dad I only have 1.. You'll learn that caretakers of PC patients if emotional will over come it and become strong emotionally. I know that after this I will be able to deal with anything that comes along. Anyways Mike come to the board and read and share whats going on...(IT HELPS...TRUST ME) God Bless you, and lets PRAY for a cure!!!
