My wife and I just heard that her mother has this type of cancer today. We found out late in the evening and I am currently doing some research for our own piece of mind. I am not completely sure of the details pertaining to the stage that she is currently in, but we have been told that surgery apparently isn't and option and that she has several clots in both legs as well in addition to the diabeties that she has.

She is a strong lady who is a 5 year breast cancer survivor, but we are not sure what to expect from this new disease that has presented itself almost out of nowhere. Can anybody tell us some signs that we might have missed in order to get an early jump on this? I'm concerned because my mother-in-law's mother died of this same cancer and now I'm worried about my wife more than ever.
