But pancreatic cancer is a cancer that affects the pancreas, which is part of the digestive tract. The pancreas secretes enzymes which aid in digestion, and someone with PC will end up not being able to properly digest food. This results in weight loss. Pancreatic cancer also affects the body in many other ways, but each person is different and not everyone exhibits every symptom. Hope this helps.
