Well, I'm home in Utah now. The hardest thing I've ever done was leave my mom in San Diego. It was harder than when we first left them to move here. She is doing much better now that she is home from the hospital. Much more alert and coherant. We are all coming to terms with what has happened and watching her go through what she has to is equally as hard because I don't think we can ever fully understand what the patient has to go through. The doctor has given us reason to hope so we have chosen to learn to live with this disease. Any words of wisdom to help us find our way through would be greatly appreciated. Also, Mom doesn't have much of an appetite. Any suggestions on what to eat or when this might go away?
