Hello, Just wondering who might have had a postive experience with the chemo drug-gembiticine (gemzar)? My 80 year old father was diagnosed in April-went through radiation and 5fu during May and started on the gemzar treatment late June. He only tolerated 4 treatments. His blood counts immediately became horrible and he became much sicker during the gemzar treatments. His last gemzar treatment was given when his platet count was only 62000. He was admitted into hospital the following week, and died at home 3 weeks later.Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has had experience with this form of chemo. THank you.
