I too had a solid and psuedopapillary tumor. Fortunately, mine was in the tail of the pancreas so my surgery was just to remove the lower portion of the pancreas along with the tumor.

As you noted, this type of tumor is extremely rare. I was at first told that I had pancreatic cancer - acinar cell carcinoma and then a month later after seeking a second opinion received the better diagnosis.

My prayers are with you as you go into surgery.
