My wife was diagnosed with Intra BDC in Jan '03. She is part of a Phase II trial with a Gemzar/Cisplatan cocktail. She was not a candidate for surgery due to the size of here tumor on her liver (12x9cm)with mutiple satellite lesions. The chemo did help shrink it and overall she's handled it pretty well. Unfortunately she now seems to be having a harder time if late. She now has a blood clot in her leg and is on Cumadin(Sp?). Her kidney function is also showing signs of problems. She had a treatment yesterday 10/31 and for the first time in a while is very sick. Did we make the right decision in doing chemo? I don't know. She is alive today and I don't know if she would be without it. I can't say, though, that everyone would have the same reaction to the chemo.
