As Saskia said, it is very important to do chemotherapy following the surgery. I do not know that we can ever be certain of a cure, but your wife definitely has the best chance with survival by having this whipple surgery. I think the chemo most often used here is called 'gemzar.' It is short for a longer name. How wonderful your wife was able to have this surgery, but do follow up with chemo. Claudia
