Hang in there. Those milestones are so important. My mom was diagnosed a year ago in September. My daughter had a baby in August and there was no way Gramma was going to go without seeing her. We try to find little milestones for her to meet. We even spend one night a week just reminiscing over old times, which makes her laugh and helps us to know her even more than we did before. She has a positive attitude and a fantastic sense of humor, which is contagious. Her theory is that she could cry and feel sorry for herself for her time remaining, which is not long, or laugh and enjoy what she has left. I am convinced this is why she has lasted so long. Keep tuning in to this board. The people are wonderful and it really helps you to be prepared for what is ahead. Hugs, ritagrams
