BOB CAREY 1946-2003
My husband Bob was dx 5/02 had a successful whipple on 6/6/02. Best possible
prognosis. No spread anywhere. Did chemo and radiation as a follow-up.
Returned to work full-time 8/15/02 gained weight felt great
until feb of 2/03 ca19-9 began to rise. ct scans still clean. Doctors did
scopes more scans and on april 7 had exploratory surgery which showed it had
spread to the lining of his stomach. He never got better. He died on July 4th
2003. He was a wonderful husband, father, and my very best friend. He was so
loved by all who knew him. Always ready to lend a helping hand to whoever
might need him and always with a smile on his face. His men lined the street
with the company trucks for his
funeral. I was very lucky to have him for my husband for 35yrs. He will be in
my heart forever. I miss him more than life.
