I disagree STRONGLY with your oncologist-in this horrible pancreatic cancer war, no growth is first prize. Forget shrinkage-it's over-rated! Read the article I posted today about treating cancer as a chronic illness by a well known oncologist-I would absolutely, positively, stick to the gemzar until there were signs it wasn't working...a growth on the catscan, increased numbers in the CEA or CA-19, etc. I agree with Melanie-I'd be looking for another oncologist. We interviewed 4 until we found one we were happy with!!! Good luck-your husband is doing well-don't change anything right now!! (except your onc!)oops-perhaps I spoke too strongly (alas, I have never been the shy reserved type!)-just my opinion!!
