I thought that was a lot of insulin too. Dan's sugars fluctuate from around 57 to maybe around 282. Most of the time lately they have been running in the mid 100s.

He takes Novalog during the day and of course I told you, the Lantus at night. The other night at bedtime his sugar was 87 and he asked me if he should take the Lantus. I said yes because the Lantus is long-acting. He will take the Lantus with a Sunny D orange juice to make sure he doesn't crash during the night.
