Melissa, I don't know that I can answer your questions but am anxious to stay in touch. We also have an uncle (age 85) who has severe dementia and was offered no treatment except hospice. I will tell you that we insisted on some additional testing beyond the CT scan and that included the cancer marker (I believe it is a CA19-9???--lots of discussion has been held here about that) and an ERCP. It has helped us to know the facts and then deal with the options and care. I have found so much help and information on this board that it has been my lifeline. Best wishes for you. Martha
