Hi everyone - I hate being so rushed I don't even have time to read messages but I promised my friend I'd post a question for her... could really use your advice... she's starting to have leg cramping. Not painfully so but it makes it uncomfortable for her. Anyone else have this, and what have you done that helps? I don't have time (really really pressed for time, trying to get caught up on work that I've missed) to read back through old posts but if you happen to remember when there was a post on this topic and can even give me a general date I'll try to get back to it... I know it's tedious to answer the same questions over and over but information doesn't always register for me if it's not a problem my friend is going through at the time. She's on lortab pretty regularly, also demerol at night and something like toridol (not sure I have the name right) as needed for a few more days, and anitbiotics for infection that has recurred, and was wondering if the meds could be causing the leg cramping, although she's had some cramping for some time now (before the meds). She's back in the hospital, had an external drain put in her liver last Friday and her bilirubin dropped from 15 to 8 (HURRAH!!!) so that's good... also drained 2.5 liters off her abdomen, also helpful, altho already coming back, but I could tell her that was normal because I've read it so often in here - thanks!!! Just that little piece of knowledge made her feel so much better ("oh, it's normal, I don't need to get alarmed..."). The bad news was that there are 50 - 70 tumors in her liver now, up from 2 last Nov... not good... but her spirit is still shining! Hope to have her home in a few more days... the weekend was rough but today she was feeling much better... and her brother should be here mid-Sept., so that gives us all something to look forward to. Please keep her in your prayers. You know you are all in mine!!! Thanks for any and all help, love to you all, Carol C. PS: anyone who's e-mailed me recently, I'll be getting back to you as soon as I can, your notes mean the world to me, thank you so much, and many hugs....
