Don't worry about speaking up. Some of these doctors need us to yell at them now and then. My mom has pc and diabetes. After her first round of chemo (and during the second week of her first radiation treatments) her blood sugars w ent over 400! Not good for anybody, let alone a diabetic. She was feeling very weak, exhausted, etc. I had to finally tell the doctor that we were not leaving the office until I had answers. They did a blood sugar test and admitted mom within 10 minutes of the results. She is now on insulin and we are getting it all under control. This same doctor also told us not to give her artifical sweeteners and diet stuff as this can cause cancer. I told him it was "too late now, huh!!!" Some times, we need to stand up to them and remember that they are only humans too. Learn all you can and "educate" that doctor - fast.

Best of luck!

Mary S
