My Father was put on Coumadin on February 4th, by 11:00 p.m. he was in an ambulance because he was bleeding from both ends. It seems as soon as the Coumadin got in his systom it caused all the leasions he had from the cancer to bleed. They put him on it because he had a blood clot near his kidneys. Every thing went down hill from there. They put a screen in, around the clot to prevent it from moving, wich in turn caused bad blood flow, which caused extreme swelling in his legs and fee t. The fluid made it's way to his lungs and killed him. I don't think that Coumadin affects every one in this manner or else they wouldn't use it. My prayers are with you and your family. How long has your Dad been on Gemzar? Debbie
