My father had the Whipple in 11/02, then chemo (5FU) and radiation for 6 weeks - just finished last week. He is very weak, anemic (Hg of 11) and tired. Any suggestions??? He is taking iron and has gotten a B12 shot. His MD thinks he needs to gain some weight and has suggested a TPN (tube feeding), but that seems very invasive at this time.
