There's no way to predict how much time he has left. Anywhere from a few months to years. Some people with liver mets have done well with a combination of gemzar and cisplatin and have even been able to have the whipple done later. Side effects also vary a lot from person to person. Melanie's husband Lou has done well on a regimen by Dr. Isacoff at UCLA. He also drinks a juice made from carrots, beets, celery and apples. Melanie and Mrs. Dolphin have posted the recipe. The longer infusion time is best and hydrating with a saline solution before and after is important. See Mrs. Dolphin's post today to cisplatin users. Good luck.
