Hi, and welcome to the board. One of the most important things the 'caregivers' have to do is take each success, no matter how small, and embrace it-look at what you are telling us. Your Mom's tumor has shrank 20% !! I did the math for you with the ca-19...it has gone down 30% !! This is good news. Don't worry about the 'markers'-the way we have to deal here is the following: If the tumor is shrinking, dance, jump for joy, take your Mom to lunch!! If the tumor is remaining stable-smile, take your Mom to lunch, a movie, etc! So many of us worry about their demise that we forget to enjoy the todays. Hopefully she will be here for awhile-look at Mac;s post above mine, that is a real success story. She is probably too shy to brag-her husband coaches a girl's basketball team that has been doing fantastic! He lives his life & is enjoyed by many. I know it's tough, but you have to plan on her being here. Keep us posted. So glad you found us. Marj
