They removed 60% of the pancreas, gallbladder, duoderum which had a large ulcer, half of my stomach, moved the stomach, bi-pass. According to the surgeon it is a whipple with some variety. I don't know what that means tho. Take it for what its worth I guess. I didn't ask.... I was very glad when the sweats passed. It about drove me crazy let alone it froze me to death. The pain thing is the worst!!!! They give me Lortabs and Darvocett. He told me that he would give me Morphine if needed but I would rather keep that for later down the line if needed. The Lortabs seem to do the trick when needed. My porta cath has not worked since Dec. 97 and yesterday I went for a flush and believe it or not the darn thing is working again. They can input but not output from it. I am so excited not to have to have blood drawn from my arms.
