Dear MRedman, I have not had pc, but I have been suffering from recurring bouts of pancreatitis. The main thing you need to find out from the doc's is if they know what is causing the pancreatitis. Is it because it isn't draining properly? Is it because whatever is left of the pancreatic duct is dilating too much? The doc's can perform an endoscopic procedure called an ERCP. They can put a tiny camera down through the esophagus to find out what the problem might be. I have learned a great deal about pancreatitis in the last 8 months. I, too, have been hospitalized 6 times since December 5, 1997. If you have any specific questions, I will try to answer you as best as I can. You can reply on the pc page or you are welcome to E-Mail me at: rhovies @bellsouth.net. My prayers will be with you and your wife. I would love to help you in any way that I could. Sincerely, Robin Hovies Birmingham, AL
