Hi Trenna. I'm like you....and if I ever get cancer, I'll have the computer on in the hospital bed seeking out info/treatments. Hard to understand my brother and sister and dad (PC since Nov) and mum to a point not really wanting to know/face too much. Luckily now after 2 months dad is coming around a little i.e. had to face and find out some things. Still would not hear of seeking second opinion - is happy with his onc and just doing Gemzar.

Your mom's treatment sounds good....have heard of them in isolation and wish dad had more kicking a.. at the same time. Could do a search on them using search button (top right next to FAQ's)...can't take many words though so may need to do one at a time.

Treatments have improved since your grandpa's time - Gemzar was a trial drug until couple of years ago. You'll 'meet' people here and those with loved ones way past their doctors so called time frame.

Stay in touch, all the best, Viv xx
