I am sorry to her about your mom. My mom was dx December 26 with unoperable pc due to vein involvement. She just started her treatments Thursday and we are hoping for the best. So far she is tolerating her treatments pretty well. You mentioned that your mom is having chemo but you did not say anything about radiation. You might want to ask the oncologist about radiation treatment with the chemo. Has your mom seen a surgeon?? Usually it is the surgeon who decides on surgery. When you look for a surgeon find one that specializes in PC. An excellent surgeon in Seattle is a Dr. Traverso who is at Virginia Mason. I hope this is of some help. Good luck on your moms c-scan. Your right KNOWLEDGE IS POWER Take Care, Petra
