Dear Robin,

I enjoyed your story so much! Through your words I was able to experience the feel of the fresh air (though here in Alabama 30 degrees is called frigid and we stay out of it), the beauty of the deer, the dirt under your feet, and the joy of trying to trick fish. I swear I felt the pain in your side, though my fanny stayed out of it. I'm lock step in agreement with you in not calling in the troops--there are always so many folks who turn out, then your family members prone to worry bring it up every single opportunity for the rest of your life! Hey, you had your cell phone, if you got to the point you actually couldn't stand up you could have called then.

There's another lesson here besides the one about bringing pain meds along everywhere you go. Like your mama said, always wear good underwear! You never know when someone might see it (or more!)

Have a good weekend!

Dee in AL, chilly at 66 degrees
