I understand what you mean by wanting to know what lies ahead. I guess the best advice given to us from one of my dad's doctors was to live each day as if it were your last. There is no crystal ball to predict the future. Don't put off anything you want to do and go do it while you still can. He is so compassionate and I've learned so much by his example.

My dad has done fairly well with his cancer, but I know it will come back. We have taken care of many legal issues concerning the estate, wills, accounts, etc. That stuff is taken care of in case he were to get really sick or pass away. Read the previous posts on this board and the pancreatic chat board as well. Some of the best advice given here is to read a book called 'Final Gifts' written by two nurses on the stages of dying. Do a search for it on Amazon.com and read the info there about it or see if your local library has a copy. Take care, Mary
