Ann, The prayers are deeply appreciated. Just a little advice - losing a parent is so hard but to be with them in their passing is the greatest gift for you and your parent, so I sincerely hope you will be there at the moment Mom leaves and more importantly follow whatever your heart tells you to do at the time. For my Aunt it seemed telling her to take her Guardian Angels hand and let her lead was very calming. This passing was a little more exhausting then leading my Dad home (he died of heart failure in March 1995, but kept telling us it was time for him to go, when we got to the hospital he was on a ventilator, eyes closed the whole time, but when we called the priest and said prayers, I was holding his right hand and as we said the Our Father his hand tightened as if to let me know he knew what was going on. When he passed his hand let go very very gently. As I said before follow your heart it will tell you what to do. Do not be afraid when Mom is passing just feel the love in the room. No regrets, anger, etc. Wishing you all the best and sending you prayers and hugs. Take care.
