Hi Kay..I know it's difficult to do but sometimes you have to follow the patients lead. They are the one's who have the final say in how they want to face this cancer. It's unfortunate she chose not to have whipple..but she is not alone. Even though only around 10% of patients are even eligable for whipple..it is still a personal decision. It is such a major surgery that many opt to forego it. I can understand their reasoning. Just be the good friend you are..and support her choice. Take care..and good luck..Ray..
