Rare Bile Duct Cancer. Husband 68 found out June 2002. Taking GEMZAR. Cancer showing up in liver and lung. I know chemo' slows this cancer down but does not cure. He is not having pain now. What has been life span after this BDC has been found? Will this pain come back? He is diabetic. He has had one operation in his life and it was open heart. He was doing great, played golf everyday until pain started in stomach area in March. Thought he had an ulcer and then gallstones but cat scan showed cancer in lung and liver. Informed the primary was rare bile duct cancer. Any information would be helpful. I do know this is the same cancer Walter Payton of Chg Bears died of in 1999. GEMZAR is only about six years old.
