Hi John,

I would call the oncologist myself and ask the reasons for the time span for the CT scan and tumor markers. I hate to sound negative, but I would never put everything into the hands of any medical professional. I would let him know I want a complete explaination of why the time span and if it is normal for all patients he treats with this similar situation. And then I would investigate more on the internet doing a pancreatic cancer search and looking possibly at other case studies. My father's oncologist overlooked an important scan last year which could have possibly changed some options for his treatment. Always be a nag to the health care professionals. If they take offense, so be it, it's your father's life. Darlene
