I believe it is time for hospice... They were wonderfull for my mom, (except the little problem after she died).. I am sorry we did not do it sooner... If something comes up that the hospital can help with you can always quit hospice & go back if necessary, at least that is what the nurse told us... I do want to warn you both my father & I believe that once we did do the hospice it was like we were giving mom permission to die... She only made it a week after we called them in... I dont know if this is typical, but I do know that mom no longer had any quality of life for about a month before we finally called in hospice... I think she was hanging on for us, and when we all made decision to do hospice (she was coherent enough to participate in decision), that is when she realized we were ready to let her go... These are just my opinions & my experience, remember all patients are different... Good luck & God bless
