My boyfriend has developed a blockage that cannot be reversed surgically because the doctor said it would kill him. Instead their going to put a tub in his stomach to drain. What happens next? Are they able to eat? He's been in the hospital since Friday, and in these five days I've seen him wither away to practically nothing. I don't know what to expect next. The doctor came in yesterday and recommended hospice. I guess I really was hoping it would never have to come to that.
