This past week-end, I had a PANCREATIC CANCER booth, in the cancer control area, at our local RELAY FOR LIFE. It went VERY well. I handed out more than 300 of PanCAN's purple ribbon pins, handed out a couple hundred purple balloons to represent pc, and made many contacts. One lady told me that she has a friend in the Seattle area that had just lost her husband to pc. We got to talking about EWTS, and wouldn't you know, she said that her friend was already planning on going!! I had invited 4 survivors to come, but for different reasons three weren't able to make it. I did meet one there, and that was nice.
I am grateful to our local cancer control group, to invite me to this event, to represent PANCREATIC CANCER. They too, know how important advocasy is, for this, and other cancers. I encourage others to do this same awareness...and
'TOGETHER...WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!'
Talk to you soon, Sherry~~~~ :)
