My husband has islet cell cancer, which of course is different from the more common adenocarcinoma; that may make a difference in where to go. We are in Atlanta. Oncologists recommended that for gastro-intestinal cancers one should consider MD Anderson, Mayo Clinic in Minnesota (not the one in Fla., we were told) and also Sloan-Kettering. We ended up at Sloan-Kettering, but I also know that Johns Hopkins is phenomenal because one of our oncologists has been advised by people there.
