Procrit seems to be helping me, health- and energy-wise, and the effects do seem to be gradual. I had asked about Procrit some time ago, but was told that because it was so expensive my insurance would not OK it until my hemoglobin levels fell below a certain level (9.5, I think?). After 4 weeks, my Hg had stopped falling but was hovering around 10, so increased dosage was authorized. At something like $300+ per shot, I guess they have to draw the line somewhere that real health benefits are demonstrated. So, Procrit won't be for everyone, but it never hurts to ask. Best wishes.
