From reading the posts, it looks and sounds as if there are several of us at this point with family members. The Dr.'s aren't sending my Mom home because Dad can't take care of her, so it looks as if Hospice will not be an issue for us. Mom will spend her final days at the hospital and I think honestly this is what she wanted as strange as that sounds. My Dad has had now 2 1/2 weeks at home at night alone so it seems perhaps this has been and is Mom's plan as well as God's. My Grandmother is doing very poorly at the nursing home, her pain med's tripled I have learned through my Aunt and my Uncle has a staff infection after His cancer surgury, it looks like We're going to be losing all 3 of them within the next few days, then again Who knows?? God does but I wish He'd clue the family in alittle better. This is so damn ironic, is it not? 3 as in the saying, people die in 3's and this is a Mother, Son and a Daughter.. (My Mom is the daughter) I'm overwhelmed.
