Unfortunately, swelling of the extremities is common with PC (sorry, I can't comment about swelling of the 'other' parts!). My dad experienced it with his ankles. We were told it was a combination of factors, including poor circulation. One of the 'treatments' is keeping your feet elevated higher than your heart, and wearing support socks. My dad's blood pressure was real low, so he was encouraged to increase his salt intake initially to try and get it up a little. He wasn't advised to moderate his diet after the swelling, and the swelling didn't ever get that bad. I don't think anything else ever swelled up -- sorry to disappoint you! I know how much you're looking forward to those bragging rights!

Seriously, good luck at the doctors. Maybe this is just a reaction to spending a full day on the job..... too much standing, sitting or walking around?
