Pancreas Cancer Web
NEWLY DIAGNOSED
My husband Ed was just diagnosed today with pancreatic cancer. He is 58 and
this is the first time in the 20years we have been together that he has been
hospitalized. He had flu-like symtoms with diarrea and lack of appetite. He
started turning yellow Valentine's weekend (we were in Jamaca as a special
treat-he loves Belefonte). Monday AM ultrasound to check for gall-stone
blocking duct, 2-3cm mass noted on pancreaus. Ct-scan and ultrasound done
then today an external drain for bile since mass occluding bile duct.
Surgeon in tonight to discuss options. He will be studying ct-scan and other
tests to see if mass is operable. Wish us luck!!! We are both scared!! I
can not even imagine not having him in my life (I'm 50 and a Respiratory
therapist)
