I am a general Internist who's mom died of pc in 1988. I give advice on this board to anyone who posts e-mail. I usually don't post-guess why. I have advised on cutting edge, alternative, etc. and can at least buy time for most people with pc. I went to a foreign school, can only find small town jobs, licensing is just a nightmare. Sometimes (I'm asking for it here) I envy nurses b/c there are SO many job offers even in the daily paper. Let's face it-the advantage of medicine IS the money-if you can save 50-100k a year you not only get luxuries, you can flip the world off and retire at fifty or 60yo (many docs do this, some work till their 90) If they would give farnesyl inhibitors, immunotherapy, neutron capture, and Endostatin (at other places besides Boston) you would see much better results. hopefully, universal cancer vaccines will come soon. I have many ideas.
