Just FYI if you do a search for the University of Maryland and go to their website there is a section on the Therasphere procedure. My sister has Bile Duct Cancer and had surgery in which they got the entire tumor out a yr ago. Unfortunately, it has now come back thru cancer cells and is in the liver and is inoperable. I passed the Therasphere info onto her Oncologist and he called the U of Maryland 800 number for the procedure and they are possible going to do this on my sister. Supposedly, they inject glass beads filled with radioactive liquid and it shrinks the tumors down (she has 4)It is about 38 % successful in shrinking them. However, they cannot do the procedure if it is outside the liver. Please say a prayer for my sister. I hope this info helps someone else out there. Peace to all. Michelle
