Had galbladder removed 1/24/02(laparoscopic cholecystectomy)because of gallstone attack a few weeks earlier. Galbladder had many stones, but also had adenocarcinoma tumor which was thru lining of GB.(determined by biopsy). Also removed lym-nodes indicated possible contamination. Following cat-scan showed no indication of spreading. First(1/28/02)and second(2/04/02)opinion says to have second surgery to remove some of liver where GB was, any nearby lym-nodes, and complete bile duct.(scheduled 3/06/02). Possible follow up with chemo and radiation. I have been a healthy 54 year old with no symptoms. Have read and researched many sites on web, but this personal discussion board seems to be the most helpful. Would really apppreicate any advice, like cases, or any discussions.
