Mary, a little more information please. What all was removed during your surgery and was it cancer? For the gas we found that ultra phayzme worked the best. Give that a try. Our dad had a whipple. Without the digestive enzymes he had diarrhea bad. Once we got him started on the enzymes it improved somewhat. The trick was knowing the proper amount of enzymes to use. Another thing we did was metamucil. Yes, I said metamucil. The way dads doctor explained it was dad wasn't getting enough fiber to cause the stool to make a form. I don't know if any of this will help you because I don't know what all was removed. Usually during a whipple much of the digestive tract is removed and if the body isn't digesting properly the person will experience both gas and diarrhea. Hope that helps some. Hugs Lillie
